We are a small enterprise selling a single, highly seasonal product. Because of this, we cannot offer traditional credit card services without significantly increasing our prices. Luckily, in recent years, new (often more economical) options have become available.

     

PayPal is our preferred choice for receiving payment. PayPal can process credit card, debit card, bank account and PayPal account payments. Note: You do not need a Paypal account to pay by credit card. PayPal is available in over 190 countries, in 17 currencies and has over 153 million accounts, so they must be doing something right.

Payment through PayPal is more secure than conventional credit card payments, because the merchant (us) never sees your personal financial information. In addition, when you transact through PayPal, their system protects you against fraudulent merchants, and provides 100% protection against unauthorized payments from your account. During the Checkout process, you will be asked to select a payment option. If you choose PayPal, you will automatically be taken to our secure page at PayPal's website. Please insure that the payee,  9136-7029 Quebec Inc,  is displayed 3 times on this page.  If not, some error has occurred, and payment should be cancelled. This page will show your order number and the total value of your transaction with us in Canadian dollars. You will then be asked to fill in your financial information, which will be instantly verified. Your credit card statement will show this transaction as being paid to "ahhCOOL".

If you are using PayPal, but have chosen an option other than a credit card, you may be asked for the email address to make the payment to. The address, in all cases, is: payments@ahhcool.com

All PayPal options will show the value of your transaction in Canadian dollars.

Interac Email Money Transfer

Please Note: This service is available to Canadian bank customers only.

                         A similar service is available to everyone through PayPal

Several Canadian banks (Bank of Montreal, Scotiabank, Royal Bank, CIBC and TD Canada Trust) and 17 Canadian Credit Unions are offering an “Interac Email Money Transfer” service. This service allows you to transfer money directly from your bank account to any one with an email address and a bank account in Canada , using the banks’ existing high security Interac networks.

“Interac Email Money Transfer” is almost instantaneous. Therefore, your order ships as soon as we get confirmation of payment. This means that your order usually ships within 24 hours of your placement of the order and payment.

To use “Interac Email Money Transfer”, you need online access to your bank account(s), and you need to create a question / password-answer to enable us to claim the payment securely. If you have read the information at the interrac.ca website, you know it is important to create a secure password-answer. We suggest the following solution.

Since we both have a copy of the invoice for your order, you can create a question whose answer will be in the invoice, and you don’t even have to communicate the answer to us, since we already have a copy of the invoice.

Examples of questions could be: (the password-answer is usually restricted to one word)

What is my postal code?  Format your answer as XXXXXX (no spaces).

What is the part number on the second item purchased?

What is the invoice number?

What is the pattern name of the first item on the invoice?

Also consider that the average bandana purchase does not represent a large amount of money, so the possibility for attracting internet thieves is probably quite low. If you’re still uncomfortable with this process, feel free to call us and communicate the password to us verbally at 514-501-7331. We don’t monitor this line 24 hours per day, but please leave a message, as this is a very secure phone number.

For customers who are unwilling or unable to use the above services, the following option is available.

Cheque / Check / Money Order

You may send a cheque through the mail, but please be aware that we cannot ship your order until the cheque has cleared through the banks, which could represent some delay to your order being shipped. Canadian cheques clear in 1 week, international cheques take longer.

Lastly, some people are insistent on paying cash. We are strongly against this option, mostly for your protection, because you have no proof of payment. Consider using a money order.

Money orders give you proof of payment and are insured against theft.
